DDS Acidophilus Plus Bifidus - From UAS Labs 100 Caps Details: DDS Acidophilus is a specific strain of carefully developed friendly microflora that has proven to be the most beneficial to humans. While there are hundreds of identified L.acidophilus with questionable activities, there is only one DDS strain with proven results. DDS Acidophilus was painstakingly researched and developed by doctors to survive stomach acid, have better retention, multiply rapidly and most importantly, to combat yeast and fungi.There is more and more research now indicating the importance of Bifidus bacteria in addition to Lactobacillus acidophilus. Bifidus is the predominant bacteria in the large intestines and Lactobacillus acidophilus is the predominant bacteria in the small intestines. Ingredients: Each capsule (0.5 g) contains 2.5 billion viable cultures of Lactobacillus acidophilus (DDS Strain), Bifidus longum, at the time of manufacturing and Fructooligosaccharides (FOS), in a rice starch base. All natural. Contains no dairy, corn, wheat, soy, yeast or preservatives. Additional Notes: Antibiotics are designed to destroy harmful bacteria that invade our bodies and cause infection. However, during this process, they also destroy many millions of friendly bacteria that are essential to our good health. The vast majority of friendly bacteria work and live in the colon. It has been estimated that a healthy colon should contain at least 85% friendly bacteria (such as Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidus longum) and 15% coliforms e.g., E.coli bacteria. After antibiotic therapy, this ratio frequently reverses resulting in excessive gas, bloating, diarrhea, malabsorbtion of nutrients, general fatigue and an overgrowth of a harmful yeast called Candida Albicans.
